Teen Charged After Hit-Run Crash Injures Three Pedestrians At Busy Intersection In Area

A 17-year-old has been charged after a hit-and-run crash that injured three pedestrians at a busy intersection in the area.

It happened at about 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23 in Beacon at the intersection of Route 9D and Main Street.

The teen was arrested a short time later after an investigation and charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury auto accident as well as numerous other vehicle and traffic citations, Detective Sergeant Jason Johnson of the City of Beacon Police Department said.

The boy was then released to his parents on an appearance ticket. Due to his age, his name is not being released.

All three victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
